MISSION STATEMENT

It is our mission to facilitate a process of transformation in Jamaica through an organized and effective Jamaica Labour Party (JLP). By creating a forum in which mature young professionals coalesce to promote dialogue, political debate, innovation, judicious analysis of issues and the expression of “outside the box thinking”. We endeavour to drive the process that will reshape our society.

To this end, we are committed to:

• Strengthening the JLP’s political organization in pursuit of good governance, astute leadership and reforms.
• Developing policy positions guided by research and feedback from civil society that will inform the policies of the JLP.
• Promoting a spirit of political unity and understanding that will break down the walls of political tribalism.
• Embracing our moral and civic obligations through community outreach and social development programmes.

VISION STATEMENT

In pursuit of our mandate, Generation 2000 (G2K) is dedicated to unlocking Jamaica ’s potential through a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) committed to the delivery of good governance. We envisage a process of transformation, consistent with that articulated in “Vision 2030”, Jamaica’s national development plan; a process through which G2K will play a part in repositioning Jamaica as it reclaims its place as an emblem of prosperity and a beacon in the Caribbean.
