Cherie Sudine-Savage was born in Kingston, Jamaica on October 4, 1985.
She attended Queen‘s Preparatory School and Campion College in Kingston. She attended the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus where she completed her first degree in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at the University of the West Indies.
She worked as a private tutor to children with ADHD in 2006 helping to guide them with extra support and extra lessons through their academic year. During her current Clinical Psychology program she has gained experience in helping persons with mental illnesses, children with special needs such as those with mental retardation and also working with their families. She has also gained experience in helping children who need support in coping with grief and trauma including children who have been victims of abuse. She has also been exposed to the rehabilitation of persons with Substance Abuse Disorders.
Prior to her current studies she volunteered as an assistant teacher for JAMAL now known as The Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning where she was involved in helping adults to become literate and achieve their basic educational goals. One of the mottos she lives by is "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." During Christmas she does small fundraising activities to help children in her community who are poor to enjoy this special time of year.
She joined G2K in 2005. She served as the public relations officer for the Mona Campus Youth League, the G2K Chapter, at the University of the West Indies for the academic year of 2005/2006. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, spending time with children and going to the movies.
