DON ANDERSON IS WRONG!
Generation 2000 (G2K) the young professional affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) said today that internal and external polls and analyses of Thursday’s likely election result shows clearly that Don Anderson’s calling of the election for the Peoples National Party (PNP) on CVM last night is dead wrong.
G2K pointed out that its own Data center points to a near 40 seat victory for the JLP using a mix of constituency polls and comprehensive organizational analyses. The mere fact that Don Anderson ridiculously labels Ken Baugh and Joan Gordon-Webley as being vulnerable only reinforces the sheer inaccuracy of his “data”.
In that light G2K reiterated long held concerns about polling methodologies and polling data collection utilized by Don Anderson.
G2K reminded all Jamaicans that all other major polls commissioned by other media houses show the JLP ahead and in line for victory on Election Day.
G2K understands that many Jamaican are puzzled by Mr. Anderson’s numbers and reminds all well thinking Jamaicans and supporters of the JLP that often times numbers are disingenuously used in order to negatively impact on the psyche of the voters and in an attempt to affect a political outcome for a particular political interest.
G2K remains adamant that in this election this sort of political gamesmanship will not win out as the sentiments of the voters are too strong. G2K remains certain that based on the ground reports the ground swell of political support for the JLP, Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his reform agenda is unequivocal.
G2K calls upon all JLP workers, supporters of the JLP to remain focused on ensuring that the Labour Party is returned with an increase majority to continue charting a better way forward.
