FALCONER STATEMENT NOT SURPRISING
Generation 2000 (G2K), the young professional affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says it is not surprised by the press statement issued today by PNP Spokesperson on Information, Senator Sandrea Falconer following G2K’s call for fairness and transparency in sections of media land.
G2K says that the PNP missed entirely what it is proposing and knows that they (the PNP) are concerned about the exposure of its brigade of supposedly objective commentators as it will significantly undermine a most critical part of their PR superstructure.
G2K said that it has long been concerned with the increasing numbers of self proclaimed and manufactured “Political Analysts”, “Financial Analysts”, “Talk Show Hosts” and “Columnists” who speak and write under the cover of being “objective”. Several of these persons G2K noted are PNP supporters and sympathizers and/or are hostile to the Bruce Golding led administration despite the litany of successes and achievements under very challenging circumstances.
G2K said it is now more committed than ever to remove that false cover of “objectivity” once and for all in the interest of fairness and transparency for all.
