G2K NOTES BUNTING’S DUDUS COMMENTS
PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULDN’T THROW STONES
Generation 2000 (G2K) the young professional affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) said it has taken full note and introspected on comments made by PNP General Secretary and Spokesman on National Security Peter Bunting on developments surrounding the recent guilty plea by former ‘Don’ Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.
G2K said that the recent developments surrounding Coke represents a momentous juncture for not only Politicians but all Jamaicans at all levels of society to introspect and embolden our resolve to fight organised crime across the board. Already the gains on the crime front have been very encouraging let us not lose sight by descending into vulgar partisan rhetoric, G2K said.
G2K importantly cautioned Bunting on his frequently raging and pompous hypocrisy devoid of any recollection of the proverb stating quote “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones at others”. G2K pointed out that they could have easily released strong and credible information regarding nefarious activities involving high ranking PNP officials that Bunting and the PNP's leadership would struggle to answer.
However, in the interest of nation building, political consensus and deep reflection by our cadre of young patriotic professionals, G2K resisted that urge.
G2K in ending called on Peter Bunting to note Luke 6 verse 42 – “How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.” – New International Version
