Deputy Chairperson, Foreign Affairs
Having completed a Bachelors of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, Graham is currently embarking on one of his most difficult challenges by working towards a Chartered Public Accountant certification.
Graham’s love for Jamaica has manifested itself in many forms; most notably through his tenure as Youth Ambassador and his passion for stamping out corruption in the public service through proper financial oversight. As Youth Ambassador, Graham has been on the cutting edge of creating a framework for the reform of the entertainment industry in Jamaica; through this framework Jamaican entrepreneurs and entertainers will be able to generate more income, through events, and in turn enhance Jamaica as a tourist destination, through the use of events to generate value for potential visitors.
Graham has contributed to Jamaica and the Jamaica Labour Party at different levels. Through his work as Youth Ambassador, his tenor as Vice-President of Mona Campus Youth League (G2KUWI Chapter), his time spent working in the private sector, as a businessman in his own right and his representation of the country and the party at an international level. Graham worked in the private sector in two high level posts immediately following University: as Technical Director of Merchant Credit Bureau and as Company Secretary and Executive assistant of First Union Financial Group, where he had sixty (60) people reporting to him concerning daily operations. He has also contributed to the general utility of society through his entrepreneurial endeavors: Third Floor Bar and Lounge, located at 13 Barbados Avenue, and several events he has promoted (Smirnoff Signature, Klimax, Gemini, etc.). He also represented Jamaica in Panama for a Freedom Forum, put on by the International Young Democrat Union, hosted by Panama’s ruling coalition.
He is currently in the process of opening a new business: Etalon Global Solutions, a business process outsourcing firm, widely expected to provide many jobs and bring needed foreign exchange into Jamaica. Graham is a no-nonsense person that does not tolerate corruption or inefficiency. His time as a public servant, a private sector worker and an entrepreneur have given Graham a unique outlook on Jamaican society and has increased both his love for this country and his desire to see it develop.
