JLP/G2K DELEGATION HEADS FOR CHINA
Minister of State in the Ministry of Transport and Works, the Honourable Othneil Lawrence, MP and President of Generation 2000 (G2K), Delano Seiveright are among four young JLP and G2K leaders who will on Monday August 8 depart Jamaica for a ten day visit to China as official guests of the Communist Party of China (CPC). They will visit the cities of Beijing, Taiyuan and Dalian. The delegation is being led by the Honourable Othneil Lawrence.
The other members of the delegation are G2K General Secretary Collin Virgo and Jamaica’s youngest Councillor and Chair of G2K’s Women’s Affairs Committee Kenisha Allen.
The JLP/G2K delegation will meet with the senior officials of the Chinese Communist Party and China’s Ministry of the Foreign Affairs. They will also take part in several lectures and tours related to Political Party Governance, Management, political education, grassroots organisation among other areas.
The visiting JLP/G2K delegation will also brief Chinese Communist Party officials on political, social and economic developments in Jamaica and develop important political linkages.
