Ryan Deans graduated from Clark University (Massachusetts, USA) with a Bachelor’s in Government and International relations. During his time at the university he was very active within the student community as a member of both the Caribbean and African Student Association (CASA), and the International Student Association (ISA). He also was a member of the Model United Nations Team that participated in the Harvard Model United Nations conference in 2006 and 2007.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Ryan moved to Hartford Connecticut to work as an annuity specialist with Hartford Insurance Company. There he specialized in individual retirement funds gaining valuable experience within the finance industry.
In 2008 Ryan returned to Jamaica to pursue his Masters in Business Administration at the University of the West Indies’ Mona School of Business. There he completed his MBA with a concentration in International Business.
After Graduation, Ryan began his professional career with Honey Bun Limited as the Assistant Operations Manager. From there he moved to Island Ice Beverage where he held the positions of Operations Manager, and then Regional Manager for Montego Bay.
In 2011 Ryan was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace for St. Andrew making him the youngest JP in the history of Jamaica.
